I work internationally with creative people to help them make their businesses and organisations even more successful.
We do this by combining the best of their creativity with intelligent marketing and great business ideas
that fit with their objectives - and their values.
My approach to business development combines the creative personality ["the T-Shirt"]
with business thinking ["the Suit"].
I call this approach: T-Shirts and Suits.
T-Shirts and Suits is my way of thinking, my profession and my mission.
My book is called 'T-Shirts and Suits: A Guide to the Business of Creativity'
This book shows how people I have met have used great ideas to make successful
creative businesses and cultural enterprises.
I have worked well with hundreds of creative people because I am creative myself - and because
I have actually set up and managed organisations and businesses.
I've learnt a lot from my direct experience of the creative sector.
I've made mistakes along the way - and had some real successes.
Later on, I went to business school and discovered some really clever ideas
we can use to help your creative enterprise become even more successful.
I want to share with you what I've learnt - from my own experience and my research.
And also what I have learnt from hundreds of creative entrepreneurs over the last ten years - in my work
as an accredited business adviser, trainer and international management consultant.
I also want to learn from you, by hearing about your own experiences, ideas and achievements in the creative industries.
In partnership with UNESCO, I am researching best practice in the creative industries internationally in order to share
great ideas between cultural organisations and creative enterprises across national and cultural boundaries.
